This self-paced training program prepares new and current American Legion Post Resource Officers to connect Veterans, families, dependents, and survivors with the right support while protecting privacy and staying within the PRO role. Participants learn how to make warm referrals, work with VA-accredited Service Officers, County VSOs, Chaplains, and community partners, follow Post assistance procedures, and route people to VBA, VHA, and NCA resources. The course includes practical scenarios, local resource-building activities, knowledge checks, a final assessment, a seven-day action plan, and supervisor verification of readiness.
